The committee Institutes Innovation Cell of S.P.I.T organized an Intellectual Property Rights workshop on Friday, 19th August 2022. The webinar featured Prof. Sakina Salmani. The speaker spoke about different types of Intellectual property rights and showed us the different
applications of the same. The session was followed by students asking about their doubts to Professor Sakina Salmani. The overall experience for both the participants and organizers was positive, and everyone had a constructive time
Session on Innovation/Prototype Validation – Converting Innovation into a Start-up
In the current world, innovation is the key to finding answers and better solutions for an improved life for us all. The purpose of this session was to help young minds understand the basics of what it takes to convert any innovation and take it to the Start-up level. This session was organized by IIC S.P.I.T. and speaker was Prof. Sheetal Chaudhari.
Essay Writing Competition on the occasion of Independence day 2022
The Institution's Innovation Council S.P.I.T had organized an Essay writing Competition on the eve of the 75th Independence Day. The topic on which the students had to write an essay was "India's greatest Entrepreneurs/Innovators".
Session on ‘How to plan for Start-up and legal & Ethical Steps’
An offline session for all the students of S.P.I.T was conducted wherein the speaker guided the audience as to how to begin planning a Start-Up. The session was delivered by Mr. Ramesh Chembnath. He is the founder of Brandbuddiez Technologies and has also been named in India’s 50 Most Talented CMOs” by CMO Asia 2014 and for “Excellence in Marketing” at The Asian Brand & Leadership Summit Dubai in 2013. The session was based on how one should go about becoming an entrepreneur.
Opportunity Analysis
It was an exclusive event for the First Years of Sardar Patel Institute of Technology, which aimed at giving the students a platform to express how to present their work and answer questions pertaining to the same before delving into large-scale competitions that they might participate in the future. The panelists for this session were Fenil Dedhia (SE ETRX) and Vrushali Varude (SE EXTC). This competition was about coming up with an innovation to help our environment such as a product or machine to help plastic wastes, increased CO2 in our atmosphere, etc. There were many interesting participants but one of the contestants who stood out the most was, from the team Environment Saviors, namely Esha Khot from the branch of Electronics and Telecommunication. Her presentation was in fact a verified and public patent that she had published 4 years ago. It was about managing pollution through traffic lights and tackling the issue
of idling.
My Story - Session by Successful Entrepreneur
On the morning of 15th January 2022, E-Cell S.P.I.T in association with IIC S.P.I.T had organized a webinar called “My Story”. The session was led by Mr. Dharmin Vora, founder of peARTechnologies, India’s first augmented reality-based in-dine dining application.
The webinar began with a short introduction about the topic & the speaker. It was followed by Mr. Vora’s address to the audience. He began by sharing his startup journey with the students of the college. He shared how he got the idea for his startup & how he materialized the same. He then shared the difficulties he encountered & how he overcame them. He then went on to explain some marketing terms to the budding entrepreneurs of the college.
Session on Social Entrepreneurship
An exclusive webinar was organised by E-Cell SPIT on the topic Social Entrepreneurship' scheduled on 15 December 2021 at 7:00 pm to help people gain knowledge about the nitty-gritties of Social Entrepreneurship. The session was conducted by two prominent personalities: Mr Avijit Mahato and Mr. Nandan Londhe. Mr. Avijit is an active social entrepreneur and Mr. Nandan Londhe is an aspiring agripreneur with a history of pilot venture execution in post-harvest market linkages of farm-fresh produce.
Session on Problem Identification
An exclusive webinar was organised by E-Cell SPIT on the topic 'Problem Identification' scheduled on 9th December 2021 at 6:00 pm to help people tackle problems which they may encounter in their upcoming startup. The session was conducted by respected Ms Malak Shah. She is a start up incubator manager and has been identifying and selecting potential startups for funding for more than 2 years.
The Profile Evaluation Workshop 2021
Industry Relations Cell S.P.I.T in association with IIC S.P.I.T had organized The Profile Evaluation Workshop in the month of November 2021. The motivation behind conducting this event was to bring an opportunity of an exclusive one-on-one interaction of the students with professionals working in reputed companies to get their current job profiles evaluated and receive guidance to enhance it further.
Competition Changemaker - Be the Change You Want to See
To support NGOs and give back to society by creating awareness among students, E-Cell S.P.I.T. along with C.S.I-S.P.I.T. & in association with IIC S.P.I.T conducted a solution pitching competition wherein participants would be providing innovative solutions to
real-life problems of NGOs.
Innovation challenge
They had to choose a domain and a problem statement. Their solution may contain multiple domains but the selected domain must be the dominant one. Teams were also allowed to solve any other issue under the given domains. They were given 3 days to come up with their solution and had to submit a one-page report of their idea for the Qualification round.
EPIC ( Enactus Pitching Competition)
A Social Entrepreneurship-oriented event for students and entrepreneurs to pitch their sustainable business/product ideas for a green startup.
Objectives of the competition-
? To create an atmosphere for social entrepreneurship among students to give back to
society.
? To inculcate a culture for startups and innovation.
? To encourage a business mindset.

IIC organised a Finance workshop on the 16th of October to introduce the students to the world of marketing and finance.
The workshop was conducted by Mr Anukrit Jain, co founder of Quiescent Techsolutions. He introduced the students to the know-hows of marketing and finance. The significance and calculation of Net Present Value(NPV), Internal Return Rate(IRR) and targeting the right audience to gain maximum profit were some of the highlights of his speech.

IIC SPIT in collaboration with SP-TBI organised an interactive workshop on the 4th of October with Mr. Viraj Patel, VP, BookMyShow.
He gave the students insights into the functioning of a start-up and and shared some of his experiences which were appreciated by the listeners.
The workshop changed the students' perception about the start-up ecosystem and the Industry in general.
Panel Discussion
The atmosphere was filled with excitement, ingenuity and fun as IIC and E-CELL geared up for its first event of the year, the E-CELL Panel Discussion, Job vs Higher Studies vs Entrepreneurship, where distinguished alumni gave the freshers a first-hand experience of their journey. Our panel included Mr. Mohit Joshi, Mr. Gurudatt Rao, Mr. Vinit Jain, Mr. Darshan Savalia and Ms. Prutha Atre.
